I'm slowly making and listing these as I don't have much time to make my own hives. I have been involved with Japanese honeybees for 22 years. Product Details Frame dimensions: 260 x 260, board thickness 30mm Easy to remove by removing the screws. The wood is cedar. The thick boards, dried in the shade for 5 years, provide good insulation inside the hive, and are favored by honeybees, which prefer old hives. This hive is different from other hives. The bottom section has a door and an easily removable bottom board for easy cleaning. While there are hives with wire comb-fall prevention, this hive uses bamboo or wooden rods for comb-fall prevention. Experienced beekeepers have told me that wire comb-fall prevention is avoided by bees when selecting a hive. Please apply beeswax thoroughly before use. This hive has come this far thanks to the guidance of experienced beekeepers and my own experience. Production will be discontinued when the wood stock runs out. Therefore, price reductions are difficult. I have 51 of the same hives, and currently, 42 have natural Japanese honeybees living in them as of Reiwa 7 (2025).
