From the time of purchase, there were scratches on the edges and patterns, kiln marks, and imperfections. One of the plates has color transfer as shown in photo 5. They are a convenient size for everyday use. Also, I think you can enjoy the vintage feel without being too concerned. If you are concerned about scratches that are difficult to see in the photos, please refrain from purchasing.
