Purchased new directly from the workshop on November 7, 2023. This ukulele is made in Hokkaido, crafted in a Sapporo workshop using precious Hokkaido-grown wood. The through-neck construction allows for powerful playing despite its small size. It rivals a certain Hawaiian ukulele known for its loud sound. The tone isn't mellow, but rather has a slightly shimmering quality. It's very easy to hold and fits comfortably against the body. I bought it because I wanted to keep it nearby and play it anytime. It's quite different from a regular ukulele, but I was impressed by its high quality, the feel of the wood, and the resonance of the sound. However, since I usually use concert or tenor ukuleles, I haven't had much opportunity to play it, and I'm selling it with a heavy heart.
