This is a Nakazao shamisen purchased in February 2022 from a shamisen specialist on Mercari. It was in almost new, beautiful condition. It was the most expensive item they had listed, and I purchased it for 90,000 yen including shipping. In the summer of 2023, the skin broke, so I had it replaced with dog skin at a specialist shop. The skin replacement cost approximately 40,000 yen. I purchased a Tsugaru-jamisen (a type of shamisen) with a futozao (thick neck) from that specialist shop in the fall of 2023, and I haven't used this one much since then. I've decided to sell it now that I've purchased a second Tsugaru-jamisen. Neck: Kouki (red wood), total length 90cm, width 28mm, with scale stickers, Higashi Sawari included, no damage to the tenjin (headstock), no camber, no jointed neck. Body: Ayasugi-dou (carved wood), long side 208mm, short side 190mm Tuners: Appears to be ebony (uncertain) Skin: Dog skin, no tears, some minor stains Accessories: Oto-o (string holder), Dou-gake (body cover), elbow rest rubber, polishing cloth, hard case, strings Overall, it is in beautiful condition with no noticeable scratches. I used to play Rokudan and Jonkara-bushi on this shamisen. I think it's better for folk songs like Kokiriko-bushi than a futozao shamisen because of its softer sound. It is also possible to play Tsugaru-jamisen songs on it. It will be shipped in a red hard case, wrapped in bubble wrap. It will be a simple package. Hand delivery is also possible.
