Three pieces of Onta-yaki pottery from Hita City, Oita Prefecture. These are new, unused items purchased directly from the local kiln. Please note that the black spots and other imperfections are original to the pottery, reflecting the handmade wheel-throwing and climbing kiln firing process. We hope that those who appreciate these qualities will consider purchasing. The rice bowl features a subdued green-toned Tobikanna pattern. The teacups include one with a similar brown-toned Tobikanna pattern and another with a flowing black and gray glaze pattern. We are not currently considering selling these items separately.
