I think it can be used for various purposes such as soup, curry, pasta, fried rice, and both Japanese and Western cuisine. There are crazing on the bottom and back, but it has been used without any problems. As this is an item that has gone through the years, there are cutlery marks, scratches, small scratches, and two support marks on the back.
