It's embossed black. Overall, it's in good condition and was quite easy to use, with pockets both on the outside and inside with zippers. The handles and the bottom are relatively clean. The gold hardware has some scratches and discoloration. Please check the photos for details. I highly recommend it because it was very easy to use.
