Fernandes Co., Ltd. was founded in 1969 in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Initially, the company was named Saito Gakki and manufactured and wholesaled musical instruments, primarily classical guitars. In the Fernandes era, Mr. Harutaka Nagasue, a guitar maker, became the production manager and produced the Fernandes GC series of classical guitars and various acoustic guitars, which became the company's main products. The guitar for sale appears to have been made in the 1970s and is an early Fernandes W-20 model with the original Fernandes label. Because it was made approximately half a century ago, it uses carefully selected high-quality materials.
