Some of the persimmon tannin-dyed hand towels were purchased. The reverse side is made of indigo-dyed fabric, checkered patterns, kasuri (ikat) fabric, old futon lining, and flour sacks, all sewn together with a sewing machine and then decorated with sashiko stitching using indigo-dyed thread. Sashiko stitching was applied to the indigo-dyed old fabric and flour sacks where there were small holes or weak areas in the fabric. I also added a small accent of pink from old fabric dyed with safflower. The waist has 30mm elastic. It measures 65 cm when laid flat, but can stretch up to 120 cm due to the elastic. The skirt length is 7 cm for the waist + 75 cm. After sewing, I did a home cleaning, but I recommend washing it separately (using a delicate wash) for a while. Please understand that this is a handmade item and that there may be some slight dye unevenness in the hand towels. I hope you enjoy wearing it in the winter.
