It stands on its own, but since it's fabric, it's not very stiff. It will be shipped folded flat, so please shape it with an iron before use. For wrinkles, spray with water and iron. Shaping the corners will make it crisp. It can be folded compactly for convenient storage when not in use. I make these as a hobby using a home sewing machine.
