I don't see any noticeable stains on the otaiko (back) section or the front pattern, but please understand that this is a used item from the time of purchase. I believe it's a recycled item, not an antique. The fabric looks like tsumugi (pongee) with a nubby texture. It was simple, so it was easy to match with anything.
