Downsizing. This is an old Karatsu tea bowl, fired at the Doen kiln from the Momoyama period to the early Edo period. The foot is relatively neatly carved, and the presence of sandy marks suggests that it was produced at the Doen kiln around the Momoyama period. What I personally find appealing is, after all, the foot. Karatsu foot has a unique character for each kiln, so I never get tired of it. Originally an excavated item, it has two areas of repair, but it is in remarkably good condition for an excavated piece. The shape is also interesting, being vertically long, and it has something adorable about it. Please use it as a sake cup. A high-quality wooden box is included.
