Based on a calm purple Edo Komon fabric, a representative type of dyed Same-komon, it has a patch of a slightly pinkish color like light wisteria, and it has a hand-drawn? pattern of characters like a poem or a sentence, perhaps describing plant dyeing. The lining is not silk, but I think it is synthetic fiber. The box, which seems to have been stored with the bag, has "Textured Same-komon Purple, for Hon-Kaga" written on it by hand. Perhaps it is a bag to match Kaga Yuzen. I think it was custom-made as an option to order a bag with the leftover fabric from when the kimono was made, but it doesn't seem to have been used much, perhaps because I had too many and couldn't use them all.
