▪️Oshie Hagoita (Pressed-Picture Paddle) This is a hagoita featuring a woman in a gorgeous kimono. The design is likely a flower maiden from the Kabuki play "Kyo Kanoko Musume Dojoji," with her red flower hat and three-tiered fringed kasa (hat) as she dances. It is a handmade oshie artwork. I received it about 40 years ago and have kept it stored in a plastic bag. Only the white parts of the floral patterns on the kimono have discolored, so please check the photos. Otherwise, it is clean and without stains. The simple design allows for arrangements. It is large and visually striking.
