This is a flower vase created by Kouraku-gama's potter, Kyohei Horikawa, that has a gentle yet strong, solid presence. It's incredibly feminine... I arranged daffodils, the same color as the wintersweet, in this vase for this year's New Year's, which made me feel like I was looking at a mother. The shoulders are broad, and the small ear-shaped openings on either side of the neck, with the spatula marks carved in the center ✨️ are wonderful. Please take it in your hands and have a look. From the Showa to Heisei eras, he blossomed with his aesthetic, and there's no doubt he was a Bizen kiln owner who introduced the charm and flavor of pottery to housewives who were far removed from the art.
