I purchased this at an antique market. It didn't come with a key when I bought it. Also, the metal part of the lock (the U-shaped part) doesn't fit into the body. I can move it, so I've been displaying it as an interior decoration by hooking that part. I have pets. I will be careful when packing, but please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned.
