I purchased this item about 10 years ago during a business trip to Okinawa, while visiting Yachimun pottery kilns and specialty shops. I displayed it as a Feng Shui amulet. I also used it a few times as an incense burner when guests visited. As you can see in the image, there are some incense marks.
