We appreciate your business. ★ Items for sale BACCARAT Murcie Old Baccarat Crystal Extremely Rare Murcia Burgundy Wine Glasses 2 pieces A We are offering for sale very valuable wine glasses designed by Georges Chevalier, a genius designer who served as Baccarat's artistic director from the 1930s to the 1970s. This is the Murcia model, created in 1931 by Georges Chevalier, a work of the purest line that places the aesthetics of crystal in a return to simple forms and transparency, giving value only to the beauty of the shape without any decoration. It is featured on page 260 of the book "Baccarat Tableware" by Jean-Louis Curtis. The bowl has a soft tulip shape that widens towards the top, and the stem has typical Art Deco buttons, making it practical to use. As these glasses do not have the Baccarat mark, it is estimated that they were manufactured between 1931 and 1936. This is a beautiful work in excellent condition that does not feel its age.
