This is a soft, tightly knit black knit that doesn't pill easily. I've worn it about three times and carefully home-laundered it. There are absolutely no stains or pilling, and the ribbing hasn't stretched, making it a beautiful item in like-new condition. It was stored folded, so there are some fold wrinkles.
