The first Koryuan, Sadao Tatebayashi, served as a painter for the Kakiemon family for two generations, the 12th and 13th, and received the Yellow Ribbon Medal and the Order of the Rising Sun, 6th class. His son, Hirohisa Tatebayashi, the second Koryuan, inherited his techniques and researched design, producing numerous innovative vessels. This is a masterpiece by Hirohisa Tatebayashi, the second Koryuan. It's a four-sided tsubo with a height of about 32cm, and the Kakiemon-style wheat four seasons are beautifully depicted.
