This is a Hagi-ware white Hagi bowl made by Ryuji Matsuno. It is a set of two. These are unused white Hagi bowls by Ryuji Matsuno. They were stored in a cupboard in their boxes and were only taken out for photography. They are charming pieces with a soft white glaze. From the leaflet: -------------- The warm and elegant charm of Hagi-ware has been appreciated by tea ceremony practitioners and continues to this day. Its texture is exceptionally gentle, and when held, it seems to possess a spring-like warmth from the rustic feel of the clay. -------------- In addition to being used as tea ceremony utensils, they would also be lovely as tableware or decorative interior pieces. They are unused and have no noticeable stains, scratches, cracks, chips, or breaks. Comes with the original box. The box has some age-related dirt. Please check the images for the condition. I would like to pass them on to someone who will appreciate and use them. I believe the color in the first photo is closest to the actual item.
