This is a medium-sized "Gosu Akae" dish, fired in the Zhangzhou kiln (around 400 years ago) in the Fujian province of China during the late Ming Dynasty. Most Gosu Akae dishes are large, over 30cm in diameter, making 8-sun (approximately 24cm) dishes rare. Floral patterns, such as "Kikimon" (floral motifs), are arranged in the center and around the perimeter, and geometric patterns with the character "Fuku" (fortune) are visible on the rim.
