2002 Leaf So Taguchi RC /500
This is a limited edition rookie card (500 copies) of So Taguchi, a player who overcame the difficulties of rising from the minor leagues, the disparity in treatment between the majors and minors, and shared surprising anecdotes from his time in America in his blog. He persevered despite criticism and fought his way to become a World Champion.
This is a rookie card of Taguchi, which was unexpectedly included as card number 201 in the 2002 Leaf set, which was originally planned to have a base card set of 200 cards including rookies/prospects.
(This is the first RC of Taguchi issued in the spring of 2002, earlier than Topps. It is not a parallel card, and it was a serial-numbered RC limited to only Taguchi and pitcher Ishii.)
Although it's a card from over 20 years ago, it has been carefully stored in a dark place with a desiccant, without being displayed or carried around in an album. Therefore, there is no yellowing, browning, or fading, and the foil stamping shows no signs of deterioration such as peeling due to humidity. It is in good condition for its age. Please forgive any minor initial scratches.
It is stored in a top loader and a zip-lock bag.
It will be wrapped in bubble wrap for shipping.
