I layered it over T-shirts in the summer and over ivory long-sleeved T-shirts in the early fall. The open back makes it perfect to wear over a swimsuit at a resort, or even directly on the skin, which would be especially cute for a baby. (I haven't used it with a swimsuit at the beach or pool; it was only for everyday wear.) It hasn't been worn many times and is in good condition, but please understand that it is a used item. After my child outgrew it, I kept it at home after home cleaning. Please understand that this item was worn by a child and that I am a non-professional in my inspection.
