I believe this item is from about 2.3 years ago. I've worn it a few times, so there's some wear and tear, but it's still in good condition. However, the slit area is a little loose, though not frayed. Personally, it doesn't bother me, but please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned. The waist is elastic, making it easy to wear, and it's designed so you can wear any pattern in the front. There is one shallow slit. I like it so much that I have it in different colors, but I don't wear this color much, so I'm offering it to someone who will appreciate it.
