The first photo is of my child around 6 months old (developmental curve is about average). I used these when going out with a baby carrier or stroller during the cold season. They were useful for outdoor events and New Year's visits to shrines. Since my child wasn't walking yet, I also used them indoors as thick socks. The soles are made of cloth, so I don't think they can be used for actual walking outdoors. They have Velcro on the sides, making them easy to put on and take off. They were also great for Christmas costumes. I think they can still be used, but they are used items. Please understand this before purchasing.
