New Stone Lined Trumpet Cup Mute C Mute sshhtraight Practice The New Stone Lined was purchased used and has a crack on the rim as shown in the photo (this is a common occurrence with this mute). The cork has been replaced, so there should be no problem with its use. Both C mutes were purchased new, and the practice mute is a standard and lightweight, making it very easy to handle. Personally, I preferred it to the recently popular Okra mute because of its good balance between muting and playing feel. The other one is a straight mute for C mute. I don't think you see it very often. It's incredibly light, so it was useful to carry around when you only needed a straight mute for one song on the job.
