It was manufactured 48 years ago, but it is in beautiful condition(^^) In the 1970s, the watch industry shifted from mechanical to quartz, and the quartz era began. Seiko also stopped manufacturing mechanical Grand Seiko and produced and sold Superior and Grand Quartz as its top-of-the-line models. This watch is also made by Suwa Seikosha, from the time when quartz watches were considered high-end products. The movement was removed from the main body, and the case and crown were carefully cleaned. Light polishing was performed. The packing was also greased before assembly. The glass windshield has been replaced with a new one. There are no scratches. The replacement cost at a watch shop is around 20,000 yen. Both the crown and the back cover are screw-down type. One of the concepts of the Silver Wave is water resistance, and this watch has excellent water resistance for a watch of this era. The size is approximately 38mm in case diameter (excluding the crown), which is slightly larger than the standard size of Seiko watches at the time, giving it a strong presence. The band is a Seiko original stainless steel buckle belt. This has also been light polished. Currently about 17.5 cm. It can be extended by another 8 mm.
