This item has some rust and chips from long-term storage, but I've restored it to working condition using natural whetstones and a leather strop. It's a single-edged, thin-bladed knife, and I'm not sure if anything comparable is available now. It's easy to chip if over-sharpened, so I've stopped at a point where it can cleanly slice through copy paper. Further sharpening and a mirror finish are likely possible. It's made of molybdenum steel, which is said to be rust-resistant, and I believe it's similar to stainless steel. Because it's rust-resistant, it should be easy to use in a home setting. It's an ideal thin-bladed knife for cutting vegetables. I have other knives for my own use, so I'm selling this one. I'm looking to sell it, so please feel free to let me know your desired price.
