With a similar shape, I've achieved 50 hits per second and 26 hits per swing. I believe it can be improved further by someone more skilled. It may not be a good reference, but someone using a similar shaped bachi (drumsticks) achieved over 1140 hits on "Mune Kyun!" at Don-Fes, so I think it's easy to get into. This is one set + a spare, so it's slightly more expensive than a single set.
