This reed has a resistance and produces a dark, German oboe sound. It is especially recommended for those who like a reed that "doesn't get out of control easily" and "doesn't produce a 'squeaky' tone." We can accommodate your preference for the reed's playing feel, from light to heavy. Those who want to blow hard with a lot of air in a wind band, or those whose high notes tend to be sharp, should probably not choose "light."
