This is a red cylindrical tea bowl made by the third generation of the Raku ware kiln "Shorakudo" in Kyoto. The refined shape and reddish-brown surface give a feeling of warmth. The kiln mark of "Shoraku" is on the back of the tea bowl. The item is stored in a paulownia wood box with a matching lid, and the condition is very clean. This is one of the tea utensils of my aunt, who enjoyed the Urasenke school of tea ceremony. Although this item was opened upon arrival, it appears it was never actually used, so the condition is listed as "Like New" as it has been opened once.
