The item I am offering for sale is a Royal Copenhagen 1995 Year Plate. ~Year Plate~ Royal Copenhagen's year plates have been produced every year since the first edition was made in 1908, without a single omission. The molds used to produce the year plates are all destroyed at the end of the year's production, so the same plate cannot be made after the following year. The existing plates are only those released during the year of production. ~Christmas at a Manor House~ The main motif is Holstein Castle, built in Copenhagen in the 14th century. It depicts a family carrying a Christmas tree on a sled against the backdrop of the castle. *In 1993 and 1995, there were large-scale strikes at the Danish factory, resulting in low production numbers, and the import to Japan was also extremely limited, making these plates very valuable today. Size (approx. cm) Diameter 18.3 x Height 2.2 This is an unused (undecorated) item that I purchased as a spare and kept at home. (To maintain its beauty and quality, I have carefully wiped it with a dry cloth several times.) I inspected it for this sale. Although it is a personal inspection, as it is an unused item, there are no noticeable discolorations, dullness, cracks, chips, age-related deterioration, or scratches. It is a very beautiful item. The cobalt color is of medium intensity, and the design is clearly visible, with a soft and textured finish typical of Copenhagen. (I carefully examined the inventory as much as possible when purchasing handmade items.) It is a first-class item with no scratches on the backstamp.
