● Onaka Kiln, Katsuaki Ichino (Second Generation Shinsui Ichino) Born as the eldest son of the first generation Shinsui Ichino in 1957. Began pottery at Tanba Tateko in 1980. Studied under his father, Shinsui, and Uichi Shimizu. Received the Cultural Association Award at the Hyogo Prefectural Craft Art Exhibition in 1983. Selected for the Japan Traditional Crafts Kinki Exhibition in 1986. Selected for the Tabe Museum Grand Prize in 1989. Succeeded as the second generation Shinsui Ichino in 2002.
