I used it for about 5 minutes on an FC console. You can use it as soon as it arrives. Operation has been confirmed on a New Famicom + Disk System mid-type. It can be read reliably with a Disk System or Twin Famicom that has had the drive belt replaced with a proper one and has had the head position and rotation speed adjusted correctly. However, since many machines that don't seem to be in that condition are also available, I cannot guarantee operation on all disk drives.
