It may not be well-known, but she is undoubtedly one of the Golden Age mystery queens, a highly recommended mystery. She didn't write much, so it's quite difficult to find her works. For those who want mysteries! Detective stories! Detective novels! The classics!! You'll be disappointed, go ahead. ‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥ ＜Charlotte MacLeod＞ ・The Cat Who Came to Breakfast (Long Novel) Ordinary mysteries are a gorgeous ball of handsome men and beautiful women, but this one is a unique athletic meet with old men and women. The protagonist is a nerdy old professor, but he's married in the first volume. Foreign novels often have "jokes that aren't funny," but this one has a power-up version of the chattering old ladies from Agatha Christie appearing from time to time. There are also old men who don't listen to anything.
