This is an Evans snare drum "silent practice/training" head. Due to its double-layered construction, it still produces a snare-like sound even without the snares engaged, but it may sound louder than a mesh head alone. I bought it new and used it for about 10 minutes at a time for about a month, so the playing surface is in good condition. However, there are wood chips from drumsticks on the rim, between the mesh and the vinyl, which I couldn't clean off (see photos ⑥ and ⑦). They won't be very noticeable when installed, but please be aware of this (＞人＜;) It will be packaged in the original box, wrapped in bubble wrap and cardboard. Thank you!
