The 3-layer bottom construction allows for cooking with less heat. It's a star in my kitchen, perfect for stews, meat sauce, oden, and more. I especially appreciate being able to boil a whole package of spaghetti upright. The box is slightly damaged. Please ask any questions in the comments.
