This is a piccolo PFP-105 with pearl-made Grenaditte resin body, which is resistant to cracking. I purchased it from a musical instrument store about 5 years ago and kept it as a secondary instrument, but I rarely used it and stored it at home. The head joint is a high-wave type, making it quite easy to play in the high register. I believe this instrument can give confidence to those who find piccolo difficult. I've played it about 5 times, and while there is slight tarnishing on the keys, it's generally in a beautiful, shiny condition. The intonation is easier to achieve than I expected, and I could play the intricate passages found in Ghibli songs with great ease. I also feel that playing pieces with repeated high notes, such as those by Shostakovich, would be much less stressful. It's much easier to play than piccolos by Powell or Hammig, so I think it would be a good instrument for junior high and high school students in wind bands or orchestras. Compared to Grenadilla wood, it doesn't require as much maintenance, making it easy to use as a school instrument. It's also recommended as a secondary instrument for amateur musicians.
