I bought this intending to place it under the cage, but I decided to use a thinner type of heater instead, so I only used it for a few days. It has not been placed inside the cage, so it hasn't been chewed on. The metal fittings are unused and unopened. It was stored in a box in a dark place, but there may be some overlooked dirt or marks. Please understand. The box, instruction manual, main unit, and metal fittings are all included.
