The neckline is finished with elasticized bias tape, providing a gentle fit around the neck without feeling tight. The cuffs, hem, and bias tape are carefully hand-stitched one stitch at a time. We have cherished the warmth that comes from handcraftsmanship, including the unseen parts. Other sewing parts are finished using a lockstitch machine and a home sewing machine, considering both strength and comfort. The lining reuses the lining that was attached to the Oshima Tsumugi sleeves, preserving the unique texture of the remade piece. As this is a kimono remake, the fabric may show signs of aging and small imperfections, but please enjoy them as part of the charm of a one-of-a-kind item.
