This is a LOMO LC-A camera's Minitor 38mm f2.8 lens, modified for a SONY NEX-E mount. This camera seems to have been made in both the former USSR and Russia. It's also known as a copy of the German MINOX camera. It's interesting in many ways, and this one has been adapted for digital use. The mount is made of metal. It fits securely with no play. The lens cover opens and closes by sliding the lever on the bottom. The aperture is fixed and cannot be adjusted. Focusing is done with the lever on the side, from 0.8m to ∞, with infinity focusing as indicated. The lever moves smoothly and can be operated with one finger, making focusing easy. When viewed with a penlight, the lens is very clean, with almost no dust, debris, or clouding. Photos taken with a SONY α7II, using the STD color profile and no corrections, are included at the end. The very last photo was taken with a close-up lens attached. I intentionally shot into the backlight to show the lens's characteristics. The rendering seems to have slightly strong contrast. As a 57mm lens when used on an APS-C sensor, it becomes a classic standard lens, and you might enjoy the bokeh at its widest aperture. For shooting, the camera was set to aperture-priority auto and allowed shutter release. A rear lens cap is included. Price is firm. No returns or refunds.
