MJC = Mizuno Junichi Company (Mizuno Maruichi) This brand notation was used for distribution. I found this at my parents' house, so I don't know much about it. If anyone knows more, please share! From what I've researched, it seems to be from the early Showa or Taisho era? Mizuno Maruichi series (MJC/MVC) • Considered a higher-end set among home-use mahjong tiles • The carving, color, and balance are all "simply good" • Doesn't stand out = less tiring to play with for extended periods It seems to be the type that those in the know use without saying anything. It's not as light as a Donjara set, and it's less prone to the misalignments and chips often found in cheaper sets. I don't think it's new, but it looks incredibly clean, almost like new?
