Purchased at Bed Bath & Beyond in the US. The surface is a fluffy, comfortable, long-pile chenille material, and the back has a non-slip grip. It's about 3 centimeters thick. I think it can be used as a kitchen mat or a hallway rug. Although it is a new, unused item, there are some scratches and yellowing on the back, which appear to have occurred during storage.
