This item is a Franklin Mint 22-karat gold-plated bonnet mascot, commonly known as "Ra," meticulously crafted in 1987 under the supervision of Stutz. The underside of the base features a plate certifying its production by Franklin Mint under Stutz supervision. (See image 4) Stutz is known as America's first sports car brand. It had an image of fast and luxurious cars for the wealthy and famous of the time. This "Ra" is a mascot representing the Egyptian sun god Ra and adorned the bonnet of the 1927 Vertical Eight AA Limousine. (See image 3) Condition: Although an old item, the mascot itself is in very good condition with no noticeable scratches, dirt, or rust. However, the base has several scratches.
