As a paint surface adjuster, it can be used to alleviate and prevent the following paint application troubles: ■ Elimination of whitening (clouding/blushing) Whitening is a phenomenon that tends to occur during periods of high temperature and humidity, such as the rainy season. It occurs because the temperature of the painted surface drops due to the heat of vaporization when solvents such as lacquer paint evaporate, and moisture in the air condenses and adheres to the surface. ■ Mitigation of orange peel Orange peel is a phenomenon where the smoothness (leveling) of the paint film surface is poor, resulting in a finish that resembles the skin of a mandarin orange. There are various causes, such as temperature and the way the spray is applied. ■ Blurring of outlines When painting a part, the boundary of the paint film may inevitably stand out due to slight differences in gloss or the thickness of the paint. It may also be noticeable depending on the viewing angle and the lighting conditions, so caution is required.
