Compared to his contemporaries in Denmark in the early 20th century, his works were quite avant-garde, and he was known for the unique titles of his pieces. This third volume of piano works features intriguing pieces, including three world premiere recordings. Among them, "The Insect World" is particularly unique. It is a suite where insects are depicted with a chillingly precise musicality. Although composed in 1917, it is a forward-looking work, with some pieces employing extended piano techniques.
