A Marumon (circular crest) from Arita during the late Edo period. Perfect size for a cylindrical sake cup. It is old, so there are scratches and stains commensurate with its age. There are pinholes, glaze cracks, kiln marks, and adhering materials inside the foot ring. Also, the center of the snake's eye (foot) protrudes from the base, causing wobble and rotation.
