Even when I put treats inside and called him, he would only put his front paws and head in to get the treat and then immediately leave, so he never slept inside. The items I stored in it were not related to the dog, but books and miscellaneous goods. Therefore, there is no transfer of pet odors. If you no longer use it as a pet house, you can close the dog's entrance and use it as a storage basket, or as a regular folding ottoman by placing the entrance against a wall. The lid is made of a cushioned material with urethane inside, so it's comfortable to sit on. There is damage in the area shown in the 6th image. The 7th image shows the underside (the surface that touches the wall when placed), and there is damage to the synthetic leather. The 8th image is a close-up of the 7th image. Since it's a part that's not visible when placed, I don't think it will bother you when using it. Otherwise, I think there are no scratches or stains, but please understand if I missed anything.
