Thank you for viewing. This is a homemade drop-in eging gaff. I made it myself for the purpose of catching spring squid from a high breakwater. Weight: 620g Gaff weight: 150g (It drops smoothly when the drag is loosened) Rod length: 45cm, Max 1m Drop-in length: 10m * Can be inserted into an eging bag for portability (depending on the type of eging bag) The reel is a fly fishing reel. The drag is on the right knob. The rope uses a gm stringer rope (1.5mm) I've used this gaff many times for spring squid. The gaff rod is 1m long, so it's easy to use even from high places, even when fishing alone. I was able to reel in a 1.8kg squid with ease. In the dark, it's easier to see if you wrap a mark around the gaff's swivel. The gaff itself weighs 150g, so it's not easily affected by the wind and can be guided straight to the squid. Once you've caught the squid, you can put your finger in the gaff's ring and lift the squid, so your hands won't get dirty. This is a used, homemade item, so please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about minor imperfections.
